Game Info and Streaming
This year’s game is called “LogoMotion”, where the robot needs to take inflatable tubes of different shapes and hang them on pegs up to 8′ high (and in a certain order). During the last 10 seconds of the game, the robot can deploy a “minibot” that needs to race up a 10 foot pole. Two alliances of 3 robots each compete in each match. Our robot’s name is “Rob’in Hood”, based on our manipulator design that resembles a bow and arrow that “shoots” the tube onto the peg.
The competition is this weekend at the Jacob Javits Center (b/t 34th & 39th Street on 11th Ave, directions). If you can’t make it, you can still keep track of us via internet.

NYC Regional Competition
Meet our 2011 Robot, “Rob’in Hood”! This Saturday and Sunday (March 12-13) we will be taking Rob’in Hood to the NYC Regional FIRST Robotics Competition at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. This year’s game is called LogoMotion, and our team worked hard on designing and building our robot to pick up inflatable tubes and score them on pegs 8 feet high as well as deploying a mini-robot to race up a 10 foot pole. We will be competing with and against 65 other teams in the New York City area (as well as some international teams) for a place in the world championship. Your presence will help keep our team spirit high and increase the awareness of robotics in our community.

Admission: Free
Schedule: Saturday (3/12) 9am – 6pm; Sunday (3/13) 9am – 5pm
